Scottish bothies often gather large groups of strangers, all sheltering from the highland conditions under one roof. But in this case, a horror story told by one of the hikers rings far too true for the assorted ensemble of hikers.
A Bothy of Strangers requires a large cast and is set in the remote mountains of Scotland, however only two characters are actually shown outside, so smart film-making would avoid you having to actually go to a bothy! The story is an adaptation of Ambrose Bierce's 1909 short story The Stranger.
