Instead of going to their final exam, three school kids bunk school to steal a boat on the Norfolk Broads. There, they terrorize tourists, steal beers and eat meal deals, but they soon find that they can't sail away from their futures forever.

The Last Living Pirates of the Norfolk Broads has three main characters, one minor character and a few extras. Despite taking place largely on boats it'd be feasible to film. It's a coming-of-age story that touches on fear of the future and the lack of hope that many children are brought up to have in any aspirational future.
